The brief
was to provide 6 luxury timber lodges for holiday let within secluded woodland
in the picturesque and stunning surroundings of the North Yorkshire Moors
National Park.
The
Lodges were built on Glulam stilts and a Glulam sub-frame, with external and
internal load bearing walls, floors and roof constructed from Structural
Insulated Panels (SIPs) and clad externally using a mixture of Cedar Cladding
and rough sawn Larch. The flat roofs were covered with black EPDM and the
latest Biomass District heating technology installed.
Each of
these unique lodges provides 5-star rated accommodation comprising three deluxe
en-suite double bedrooms; open plan lounge, diner and kitchen boasting the
highest quality fixtures and fittings including granite worktops; wine cooler;
American fridge freezer and ice maker; 60" widescreen plasma television;
stylish rotating wood burning log stove; satellite wifi; ipod docking stations;
PlayStation 4; underfloor heating; steam sauna and jacuzzi.
