This beautifully renovated derelict Methodist Chapel in East Witton, Leyburn has recently been completed and now open for holiday let.

The Old Chapel was designated as a Heritage Asset by the National Park and had to be sensitively renovated and converted by keeping many of the original features as possible which includes the high vaulted ceiling, stain glass windows and external features.

We were involved with the planning and design of the layout, obtaining planning permission and obtaining Building Regulations Approval. We also assisted in obtaining a licence to temporarily remove the 65 Brown Long Eared Bats that were roosting within the existing roof space and designed the Bat Loft suitable for their return.

The layout provides 2 bedrooms on the Ground Floor both with ensuite bathrooms, with walk-in showers and lovely large baths to relax in. An oak and glass staircase takes you up to the open plan First Floor which provides a large modern kitchen, dining sitting area with beautiful stained glass windows letting in plenty of light and letting you see the stunning views all around, Wood burning stove in the open plan sitting area with flat screen TV.

This delightful conversion is now open for short term holiday let and more details on this can be found by visiting the website http://www.theoldchapeleastwitton.co.uk/
